A permanent vacancy has arisen for a Data Governance Officer role to introduce a new data framework and structure, working with autonomy across the business and reporting to the Governance & Corporate Assurance Manager.

Working collaboratively across our organisation to ensure data protection compliance, investigating data breaches, and executing Subject Access Requests (SARs), you will also support with administrative activities for the Board to ensure efficiency in our governance function.

You will join to be a visible Data Governance Officer tasked with mapping out where the business is at in terms of data. You'll find out how the business is operating, and your key focus will be to agree, document, and put in place a corporate framework for their data maturity model.

As Data Governance Officer, you will also look at data management, governance, security (working with the cyber security lead) and effective data analysis. The role will work with our Technology and Change team as well as being out in the business to work with Managers and Executives to map out their requirements with data and put the tools in place to utilise data.

You would set the foundations for data and then oversee the successful delivery of data strategy, improvements, and projects. This is a brand-new autonomous role with a broad remit impacting all areas of the organisation.

The role has got great backing at an Executive level, as the business looks to put data at the heart of all they do, so this is a great opportunity to make a real impact and drive meaningful change across the business.

You would be a great fit as a Data Governance Officer if you have:

  • Helped to shape a new Data Quality Framework. The end goal is to corporately agree and document a corporate framework data maturity model, so examples of where you have worked on data strategy and frameworks would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of data quality modelling around housing. Worked with data strategy for housing assets and customer/tenant data.
  • Familiarity with HACT UK Housing Data Standards

This role will look at data management, governance, security (working with cyber lead), and allow for effective data analysis.

This role is hybrid working; the salary on offer is £33,801 per annum with some great benefits.

Interviews will be taking place in late June / early July, with the business looking to review applications as soon as possible.
