Lead a team to deliver all aspects of reporting, systems, governance and help to customers to ensure compliance with MSE Standing Financial Instructions, annual savings plans, contract compliance and the necessary governance.
Develop measures to ensure that we can be held to account for our service and not just meet our customers' expectations but work with them to exceed them.
Driving the provision of a high quality, efficient and cost-effective systems function that meets the current and future technology needs of the Procurement & Supply Chain team.
Responsible for the development and execution of the Procurement & Supply Chain Information Systems strategy. A key element of this will be the selection and implementation of a Trust wide inventory management system.
This will provide a key element to not only drive significant operational benefits but will underpin the acquisition of high-quality data.
Provide expertise in emerging technologies and methodologies, supporting the continuous improvement of the information systems strategy. Work with IT to feed this into the overarching group IT strategy.

This will not only provide a new capability to analysis and model data but will be at the heart of the development of a data driven culture across the whole procurement & supply chain team.
Work closely with the Category Leads and Category Managers to leverage data to understand category attributes in more detail, identify actionable cost releasing financial savings, understand supplier spend & performance and understand contract compliance.
Develop and provide a comprehensive suite of commercial and cost management information to ensure that purchasing decisions are made against informed information.
Develop a culture of customer centricity within the Systems and Helpdesk which does not only enable the compliance with SFI's and relevant procurement legislation and guidance but also encourages continuous improvement.
Review the provision of procurement systems across the group, to make it easy for stakeholders to identify and order compliant products.
Review performance based on customer satisfaction for those systems currently provided.Work with Finance to continuously develop systems by gaining feedback from Stakeholders on reasons for non-compliance.
Use this to refine and identify corrective actions that can improve user experience and help to ensure compliance and usage across all "in scope" areas.
To support the development and maintenance of the MSE's purchasing catalogue and e-procurement system to ensure alignment with logistics, inventory and supply chain systems and processes.
Report on procurement performance e.g., Monthly savings performance, spend reports, compliance reports, Helpdesk performance and seek stakeholder sign off with relevant stakeholdersProvide regular updates to the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, that the department operates within set budgetsRepresent the Procurement Directorate at corporate meetings.
Provide management information and data reports in partnership with the Logistics team to ensure compliance with NHS Improvement's requirements.Regularly report on the System, Governance & Helpdesk Team's activities and performance.
