Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join within the pharmacy IT team on a fixed term contract to deliver the benefits of the Epic system and other pharmacy-related IT projects.

You will be an individual with proven experience a hospital pharmacy setting with some experience inmanaging pharmacy-related IT systems and a proven track-record in project management. The successful applicant will also have excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient care and performance delivery along with a strong track record of successful delivery of projects and servicedevelopment experience.

Main duties of the job

The role involves leading the clinical aspects of pharmacy-related IT projects including the ongoing development of the Epic system in terms of the safe prescribing and administration of medicines. The role will also lead on other pharmacy IT projects including IT systems related to workflow and reporting relating to medicine spend including high cost drugs. In summary the job involves:

Being a digital change leader, leading transformation of medicines related processes with the use of technology. Serving as a liaison between pharmacy and the EPR Programme ideas from concept stage to implementation, working with relevant clinical teams to implement. Making GOSH Pharmacy a great place to work where EPR promotes effective and safe working. Realising the full benefits of having an integrated EPR system for medicines management. Promoting GOSH EPR to the wider community.
