Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our Clinical Informatics Team as a Clinical Informatics Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Trust-wide optimization of clinical systems, working closely with the Lead Pharmacist, Informatics and the EPR team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and optimization of electronic prescribing systems within the Trust.
  • Implement new digital medicines initiatives and support the pharmacy team in developing, validating, and maintaining digital systems.
  • Provide assurance of the use of electronic medicines management systems across the Trust, working with the Trust's Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) and Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO).
  • Ensure patient safety, security of access, system availability, and data accuracy delivered by the system(s) and meets the requirements of the Trust, its patients, and clinical staff.

Person Specification
  • MPharm (Master's Degree)
  • Previous significant experience of working with clinical IT systems, including ePMA
  • Knowledge of regulations and legislation relevant to EPMA
