Hitachi Energy is a pioneering technology leader that is helping to increase access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. We help keep your lights on, the factories running, our hospitals and schools open. Come as you are and prepare to get better as you learn from others. Bring your passion, bring your energy, and plug into a team that appreciates a simple truth: Diversity + Collaboration = Innovation.

At Hitachi Energy our purpose is advancing a sustainable energy future for all. We bring power to our homes, schools, hospitals, and factories. Join us and work with fantastic people, while learning and developing yourself on projects that have a real impact to our communities and society.

We are convinced that HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology, solutions for energy transfer with direct current at high voltages, is a long-term sustainable solution. The technology is used for energy transmission over long distances and to connect electricity networks with minimal losses. In addition to energy transfer, HVDC technology also alleviates electricity quality problems and can contribute to the stabilization of connected power grids for offshore wind power or long-distance underwater transmissions, direct current is the only realistic energy transmission alternative.

Please note this role will be based in Daedalus Converter Station, Vulcan Way, Solent Enterprise Zone, Lee on Solent, PO13 9FW and will be of a hybrid nature.

Please note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship on this opportunity.

As Project Manager, the role primarily involves project leadership for a long term service agreement at a critical HVDC site located in Lee on the Solent within the UK along with other long term service agreements and minor projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for a team of 3 direct reports, so people management experience is very desirable.
