Are you able to support teams at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust, utilising your current knowledge and skills, in order to provide the highest standards of care to our women, infant, children and young people?

We are currently recruiting bank health care support workers to join the Birmingham Women's and Children's Trust bank, to work at both the Women's and Children's Hospital sites, if you have the relevant skills and experience, we will welcome your application.

To apply you must have =

Completed your first year and have this signed off at university

Completed 12 weeks of clinical placement in an acute setting, in your field of study

Actively continuing with your student training

If you are unable to meet the above 3 criteria, you are not eligible to apply

Main duties of the job

To support in the delivery of high standards of nursing care in partnership with women, children, young people and families in a safe and professional environment.

To care for a defined group of patients, this could be women & children requiring assistance with daily activities. The HCSW role may at times be required to extend to cover the duties of House Keepers, if service requires. All duties always will be indirectly supervised by a registered practitioner.

As an organisation we are committed to ensuring all areas have staffing numbers and skill mix to deliver safe quality care to all our women, children and young people. This means that staff groups may be asked to move to other areas at short notice by a senior manager to ensure safe delivery of care.
