The main duties of the role will include:

  • Management of production and maintenance of the SSMP, SD, SSSR (SJR) and hazard record
  • Managing and coordinating the Designers system safety team
  • Coordinating System Safety made by subcontractors
  • System safety interface management between ourselves and the client
  • Leading reviews of the Designers and subcontractor System Safety deliverables
  • Managing scheduling of System Safety activities
  • Construction sequence and methodology management in respect of system safety
  • Reviewing ITPs for safety
  • Implementation and collation of compliance for TSI's

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer and Membership of an appropriate professional institution, or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience and knowledge of System Safety in Rail Infrastructure projects

Experience in the application of the Common Safety Method (CSM) for risk evaluation and assessment within the UK rail industry
