About you

We have a permanent role as Process Specialist, to lead the strategic development of knowledge & technology employed at Nutricia Liverpool with regards to bulk powder handling and processing.

Role is based in Liverpool with opportunities to network with Central Enginering tam and other SN sites with Danone.

Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing technical support to other functions and the implementation & maintenance of Danone standards and industry best practices to optimise quality, efficiency and safety of the products produced at Nutricia Liverpool

About us

Key accountabilities, deliverables & KPIs, impact on business results

  • Technical specialist; Provide technical expertise for all bulk powder handling operations & equipment.
  • Identify and conduct trials to develop powder handling processes, leverage capacity, support PD trials to ensure the smooth transition of new & modified products, materials, and processes into the factory.
  • Experienced in Root Cause Analysis and Fault-Finding Techniques; Support PSGs and other investigations.
  • Technical support to Business Units and other functions.
  • Bottleneck analysis of all processes.
  • Processing input into operational projects.
  • Liaising with internal customers to provide guidance and expertise.
  • Liaising with external customers, suppliers, and the wider corporate powder team to share and develop powder handling expertise.
  • Equipment standards champion; Identify the fundamental base settings of the equipment and ensure these settings are set and maintained to standard.
  • Equipment innovation engineer for process; Keep up to date with new technologies within the food and process equipment industry.
  • DSEAR / ATEX champion.

Critical experience required

  • Technical background, Science, engineering background required.
  • Experience of FMCG companies and medical foods industry would be particularly beneficial.
  • Must be experienced at managing and prioritising own workload.
  • Education / training: NVQ level 3, ONC HNC in engineering, Project Management, practical awareness of DSEAR would be beneficial.
  • Experience in research and development or ability to demonstrate problem solving experience required.
  • Previous experience in technical management role beneficial.
