IRM Specialist

We are currently looking to recruit an IRM Specialistto work at our Liverpool Headquarterssite on an 18 months fixed-term contract. You will be responsible for Ensuring compliance of Raw Materials and Recipes for Vitaflos Portfolio and working closely with other departments to ensure compliance by design from Concept to Commercialisation. Suitable applicant will benefit from the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity.

What will you do?

As an Ingredients & Recipe Management Specialist, your main responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Co-ordinate IRM activities related to compliance, complexity reduction and ingredient and recipe management at factory level
  • Ensure application of the compliance processes to new and existing products
  • Establish and validate with the different markets the finished product specification / declaration, and provide other needed documents for Regulatory Submissions upon request
  • Assist the New Product Development team in developing compliant formulations within safety, legal and nutritional requirements
  • Coordinate stability monitoring programmes for Innovation and Renovation projects at launch stage
  • Assist with maintenance of the recipe database, primarily by inputting raw material specification information and developing the system to meet evolving requirements
  • Responsible for defining corrective actions in case of non-compliance, and providing follow-up information to ensure any compliance issues are rectified
  • Assist the specifications team with selection and approval of raw materials according to defined internal standards
  • Act as a technical proof for labels and marketing literature

Who are we looking for?

To be successful for the role, you must have a proven track record working in a similar role, where you have shown excellent knowledge of finished products, ingredients and manufacturing processes. You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Science and ideally hold HACCP and Food Safety certificates. You must have experience of working with recipe management and development software, therefore having a strong analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail will be a huge benefit.

Parts of the role will require you to work autonomously, therefore it is important that you have a motivated and proactive mindset. You will also be interacting with various stakeholders both in the business and externally, therefore excellent communication skills are a must. Finally, as Vitaflos products aim to keep up to date with the ever-changing lifestyle demands of our patients with the best cutting edge research, having respect for standards and a passion for consumers and patients would be a great advantage.
