Westminster House is looking for a support worker who can provide an active, friendly, and welcoming respite service for adults with learning disabilities, Autism, and 'behaviours that challenge'.
We ensure that those we care for can engage in an active, fulfilling lifestyle and we need a team of proactive and inspiring people to support us in this goal.
As part of our team, you'll enable and support with all kinds of activities encouraging service users to enjoy Island life, from trips to the park and taking part in community events to supporting with arts and crafts and activities on site.
We support and care for people with a wide range of complex care needs and diverse interests, so you'll need to tailor your work and communication to suit each person, ensuring everyone is happy and engaged in the activities and experiences that suit them best.
We are looking for positive, committed, and forward-thinking support workers who are great at emotionally connecting with a diverse range of people, because, as a respite and short stay service, the people we support are ever-changing, all with different emotional and physical wellbeing needs.
As a Support Worker you'll help with regular personal care when needed, this can include toileting, dressing and feeding or administering medication.
When you work at Westminster House, you'll see the results of your hard work and support, as people return to their homes feeling more capable and confident than when they arrived.
