Job Purpose:
To lead the day-to-day operations and service delivery of the ESG Reporting Hub.
This role will be responsible for supporting the Hub Director both during the set-up of the ESG Reporting Hub and following its implementation during the business-as-usual phase.
The role is responsible for service delivery through a team of ESG metric analysts who are trained and managed to support business functions who capture and report on ESG data and information.
The Operations Lead is supported by the Performance and Governance Manager.Key Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
During ESG Reporting Transformation, includes but is not limited to:
- To support and oversee the Hub GPO in the development of the ESG Reporting Manual and Basis of Reporting documentation to record data capture, extraction, collation, transformation and analysis methodologies and controls. This includes setting the overarching Document Hierarchies and Management Framework, which encompasses appropriate policy governance standards.
- To oversee the Data Specialist and Performance & Governance Manager in their development of the Data Inventory, Basis of Reporting documentation and Metric and Stakeholder Mapping documents, ensuring information is portrayed clearly and accurately. This also extends to the development of Hub Analysis procedures and protocols for data collation and transformation in line with an agreed calculation methodology.
- To execute the pilot standardised ESG reporting process in line with the ESG Reporting Manual, including reviewing and responding to pilot outcomes and that knowledge transfer between SMEs, short term and permanent Hub employees is effective
- To support the business functions to review their current data capture and extraction processes (both automated and manual) and enhance where appropriate to ensure that they align with minimum process and control standards, ensuring that sufficient guidance/training is provided to data owners. This will be completed with the support of a data specialist and Hub Analysts.
- To embed an understanding, responsibilities and drive alignment in ways of working between the Hub and functions collecting ESG data, including formally cascading control and data quality expectations. This includes responsibility for ensuring sufficient guidance and training on data collation and transformation procedures to embed and ensure effective implementation, and an approach for addressing any immediate process and/or knowledge gaps.
- To support the Hub Director to develop a reporting dashboard which shows actual vs expected reporting performance in line with agreed reporting frequency and requirements. This will be achieved through consultation with Corporate Reporting.
- To work with Corporate Reporting and the Hub GPO to determine the validation checks to be completed over Hub activities. This includes a suite of performance KPIs, the development of 4eye checking and Management Monitoring protocols.
ESG Reporting BAU, includes but is not limited to:
- Accountability for the accurate maintenance of the ESG Reporting Manual and all supporting Framework documentation in line with GSK ICF principles to provide a clear and defined methodology which enables reporting to be produced in line with the expected frequencies and protocols. This includes being sufficiently maintained to standard up to assurance scrutiny and is achieved by working closely with the Hub GPO and the Performance and Governance Manager.
- To embed an understanding, responsibilities and drive alignment in ways of working between the Hub and functions collecting ESG data, including formally cascading control and data quality expectations. This includes responsibility for ensuring sufficient guidance and training on data collation and transformation procedures to embed and ensure effective implementation, and an approach for addressing any process and/or knowledge gaps.
