This is a global head of sales role for S&P Global's Software Solutions division within Market Intelligence.

The role has responsibility for new business across our software solutions assets, including Debtdomain, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), iLEVEL, Notice Manager, thinkFolio and Wall Street Office (WSO).


Our front-to-back-office software capabilities help customers with pre-deal analysis and compliance all the way through to post-deal workflow and reporting.

Our software solutions serve customers in both liquid and private markets across multiple segments, including fund administration, sell side, private equity, credit, investment management and limited partners.


Head of Software Solutions Sales:


The head of Software Solutions role is focused on new customer acquisition, as well as cross-selling existing S&P Global customers with our Software Solutions capabilities.

The software sales team is a fast paced, highly collaborative, and results-driven organization.

We are looking for an experienced sales manager, who is passionate about strategic sales management, driving customer relationships and executing new business results.


Responsibilities:

Develop and execute on our global Software Solutions sales plan, which is based on a product, regional and individual quota plan
Manage a team of sales managers that is aligned by region and customer segment
Focus on new customer acquisition, as well as cross-selling within existing accounts
Negotiate contract terms and pricing, in collaboration with the sales team for our larger software transactions
Maintain a focused approach to sales activity and pipeline management
Manage the pre-sales engineering team, as well as lead generation team, in addition to sales quota carriers
Partner with the commercial strategy and product teams to align on our roadmap and growth areas
Collaborate with the client management team, which manages post-sales renewal management
Attend management meetings and attend monthly revenue meetings to track new business progress
Develop sales manager and individual sales talent
Leverage our solutions-based selling technique, called MEDDIC

Preferred Experience/Skills:

Experience selling complex data and/or technology solutions to financial institutions
Strong business acumen with a consistent track record in consultative sales
Confidence in approaching different types of customer segments, working across regions and selling into c-level executives
Proven experience in managing large teams with an ability to effectively work in a complex multi-divisional organization
Ability to clearly communicate our company's vision and strategic goals
Proven track record in building high performing teams
Ability to collaborate across functional and geographic boundaries
Strong communication, organization, presentation, and negotiation skills
Well-balanced sales mindset and discipline to balance short-term new business goals with long-term divisional goals
Demonstrated analytical skills regarding sales planning and reporting

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $157,900 to $328,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
