An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Clinical Advice & Triage Centre (ECAT) management team in the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) at Norwich or Chelmsford.

Norwich positions will be Relief; Chelmsford will be Rota.

This senior clinical role in ECAT is responsible for professional, safe and effective clinical supervision of service delivery.

You will directly manage a team of clinicians based within and at the two supporting regional ECATs and be responsible for supervising and managing the Emergency Clinical Advice and Triage Centre.

You will provide clinical expertise, by providing assessment, advice and information according to clinical protocols to all ECAT and emergency Operation Centre (EOC) staff.

The post holder will need to utilise professional judgment, critical thinking and refer to other provider agencies and clinicians as appropriate.


You will have a minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience and currently working as a Health Care Professional, registered with either the HCPC or NMC.

A significant proportion of the Clinical Coordinator role is to provide real-time, first-point-of-contact advice to ambulance crews requesting further assistance on scene with patient.

This advice may be within any area of para-medicine.

The successful applicant will be supply safe, effective and pragmatic suggestions to assist in problematic, complex case presentations to crews at the patient's side.

An excellent knowledge of current protocols, broad understanding of pre-hospital medicine, ECG interpretation, pharmacological knowledge, understanding of the Mental Health Act, good communication skills and the ability to think 'out of the box' will be required.


As a manager you will be required to provide leadership to the ECAT team, to ensure the effective provision of service delivery to our patients and to champion change and maintain high standards within the organisation.

To ensure that staff are motivated and express a positive attitude towards the organisation and addressing any issues and concerns that may inhibit the staff from achieving both their personal and organisational goals.
