Here is an exciting opportunity to join our Therapy team at Broomfiles as a Day Therapies Patient Coordinator.


The role of the Day Therapy patient coordinator is to provide specialist knowledge for the pathway of Day Therapy patients across Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

You will facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that the pathway is co-ordinated, streamlined and all processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs.


You will work directly and indirectly with patients and their carers, and be responsible for capturing information about patients, ensuring that up-to-date relevant information is recorded on the patient record and Trust systems.

You will have a good knowledge and understanding of the specific patient pathways.

As a key requirement of this role, the post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills, together with a high attention to detail and levels of accuracy.


The role will involve supporting and working within the clinical nurse teams, pharmacy and the receptionist/ward clerk to ensure that the process is managed in a timely manner up to the point that the patient attends for their appointment.

YOu will be responsible for backfilling the ward clerk during periods of absence including annual leave.
