Product Owner for our
Water offering; a proactive industry expert embedded within the group.


As the
Product Owner for Water, you will ultimately be responsible for keeping abreast of industry changes and their impact to the group, maintaining a knowledge base with relevant internal stakeholders, and at times interacting with customers for complex product support.

You will develop and manage a water pricing function with relevant resource and be responsible for ensuring adherence to internal SLAs and quality.


This individual will delight customers by informing service requirements for our water offering across customer sectors, developing effective supplier relationships, and delivering competitive and accurate pricing for the group.


You must demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills, be forward looking with commercial awareness and an ability to lead and innovate in your specialist area.


Position:

Main responsibilities

  • To act as a specialist for the group, that can be accessed by internal and (at times) external customers where relevant (for example as an appointed specialist or customer advocate)
  • Maintain a knowledge base for use by the group, and provide proactive thought leadership and product insights through regular 'did you know' updates
  • Facilitate growth through marketing campaigns and ongoing product/service development
  • Act as a complex query escalation point, liaising with suppliers, customers & internal functions as necessary
  • Ensure product & pricing coverage for the group at all times
  • Establish a pricing function for use by the group (new, renewal, crosssell), providing appropriate service levels (bespoke tender, framework, price comparison, matrix, sales support), including line management of relevant resource and adherence to Zen people management, performance and quality assurance practices
  • Support new business activity to facilitate new wins (presentation, visits, calls or tender information)
  • Support renewal activity to facilitate customer retention or crosssell opportunities (visits, calls, tender info)
  • Support effective and commercially beneficial relationships with suppliers, maintaining a close network in conjunction with the Head of Strategic Partnerships
  • Ensure all processes relating to the water product are documented and available to the teams utilising them
  • Collaborate with senior operational leads to ensure cohesive and transparent working practices remain 'fit for purpose' following industry or other changes
