Securitas are looking for a dynamic, imaginative, creative and enthusiastic Regional Trainer to join us.

To deliver professional, efficient, and motivating training to all Securitas employees, which meets the Learning and Development strategy for the business.


The role is open to applicants in the Barrow/Preston/Blackburn area
You will be delivering Security and associated training courses - Security Industry Association (SIA).

You will be the recognised source of knowledge and support for employee training needs and maintain the compliance standards as set down by the relevant awarding organisations.

Must be willing to travel around the Barrow/Preston/Blackburn area, with occasional travel to Scotland:


  • This is a Monday to Friday role (some evening work may be required)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To actively participate and support the development of Securitas Security Services (UK) Ltd.
  • Ensure understanding and demonstrable implementation of the values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
  • Embody a highperformance approach and encourage colleagues to do the same through their behaviour.
  • A significant amount of travel is required for this role.
  • You will be involved in the delivery of:


SIA Security courses
  • Security Guarding, Door Supervisor, CCTV


First Aid
  • FAaW and EFAaW
  • Health and Safety Level
  • Conduct initial assessment of the learners to ensure entry requirements are met.
  • Provide input into the development of innovative, inclusive, and challenging learning resources and activities for area of expertise, to ensure learning outcomes are successfully met.
  • Risk assess the learning environment, resources and activities and ensure a consistent high standard of safety, whilst creating a safe, positive, and imaginative learning environment.
  • Promote and demonstrate high standards of behaviour at all times.
  • Communicate all learning outcomes to the learners & monitor learner progress throughout every lesson, providing positive and constructive feedback to learners where evidenced.
  • Deliver interesting and motivating lessons which engage learners using a variety of delivery methods, resources and activities which are context appropriate.
  • Promote equality and diversity and tackle discrimination, victimisation, harassment, stereotyping or bullying.
Identify additional learner support needs and offer appropriate guidance.

  • Ensure that learners are fully prepared and at the required standard for any external examinations, committing to a passfirsttime approach.
  • Report any accidents or incidents in the required format as soon as is reasonably practicable.
  • Maintain an up to date CPD record.
  • Attend relevant training or CPD events to maintain sector competence.
  • Regularly review own teaching methods and solicit peer assessment.
  • Attend Standardisation meetings and share best practice.

Benefits:

Annual salary of £30,000 plus £5,400 car allowance (pro rata)

This role is based around the Barron, Preston and Blackburn areas with occasional travel to Scotland.

Essential Skills:

  • SIA License
  • Right to work in the UK with a 5year checkable work history
  • Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle
  • AET qualification or another training qualification
  • Must have at least 3 years industry experience to be able to deliver SIA qualifications
  • L3 Award in Educational Training or equivalent e.g., PtLLS
  • Ability to build relationships and fully engage with various management teams
  • Exceptional communication skills written & verbal
  • Must be able to demonstrate considerable experience of occupational competence, within the past ten years, specific to the topics that will be taught and at a verified excellent standard.

Desired Skills:


First Aidat Work Qualification

  • CCTV licence
  • Level 3 conflict management certificate
  • Level 3 delivery of PI, IQA, ability to deliver AET and ILM qualifications
  • Physical Intervention training qualification.
  • Line Management experience
