MAIN OBJECTIVES


Assist in the timely production of monthly management reporting and annual financial information; drive improvements in the cost accounting system; elevate the analysis and decision[1]making processes of the business; provide support and cover within theFinance team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the Financial Controller to ensure transactions are correctly processed in line with Company procedures and reported accurately.
  • Responsibility will include the reviewing, auditing and documenting of procedures and suggesting improvements.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and ensure that the Financial Controller has all relevant and reliable information on a timely basis.
  • Completing the monthly costing analysis and developing budgetary analysis and project appraisal techniques.
  • Assisting with the completion of monthly and quarterly returns to HMRC and other regulatory bodies.
  • Providing financial guidance and support to department managers through analysis of financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support for the Payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
  • Other tasks as required including covering for other finance staff in their absence.
  • Responsibility for adhering to the Company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental and Health and Safety management systems and contributing towards continuous improvement.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Part or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with practical experience.
  • MS Office including strong Excel and ERP systems ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of accounting procedures and disciplines and knowledge of current VAT and Company legislation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining good attention to detail and accuracy.
