To be eligible for the
London Salary you would need to work 40% of your time - 2 days per week at our Headquarters currently at Elephant and Castle SE1.


We're excited to be building a new headquarters at Denmark Hill SE5, that we expect to be ready from late summer 2023.

Our new HQ will be a cost-effective, modern building designed to better support our local mission around the UK and Ireland and providing a welcoming and engaging environment for our staff and visitors.

If based outside London, there will be an expectation to work a certain number of days per month from your local Salvation Army offices or Service centres
- number of days can be discussed during the interview process.

Job Summary:

The Salvation Army is a worldwide charity and Christian church, working in over 132 countries. The Salvation Army is the largest provider of welfare services in the UK after the Government.

We are working in the heart of communities supporting those who have experienced human trafficking and homelessness, people who are struggling with debt and unemployment and those recovering from addiction.

As a
Trust Fundraiser, you will be a key member of our passionate and talented philanthropy team.

You will proactively manage a portfolio of charitable trusts and foundations to secure income in support of The Salvation Army's programme of work in England and Wales, helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society and fighting against injustice.


Key Responsibilities:


As a member of the Trust Fundraising Unit, you will be responsible for securing gifts from and building relationships with charitable trusts and foundations.

You will identify and initiate relationships with prospective donors using a range of research methods and develop long-term relationships by the excellent stewardship of supporters.


  • Experience of successful fundraising from charitable trusts and foundations
  • Strong writing skills and creative approaches
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across an organisation
  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload and work within a complex environment
