We are looking for an Associate Digital Product Manager to join the Enterprise Acquisition Products & Platforms (EAPP) team under the EDDS organization. The EAPP team is responsible for driving continuous revenue growth through seamless and modern onboarding experiences.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Joining as an Associate of Digital Product Management at American Express is, at its heart, about making a positive difference in people's lives by improving the products and journeys we offer, in more than 25 countries. Imagine for a minute that you see an advertisement for an American Express card that excites you. You click on the ad, check out the benefits, and decide to apply. You fill out the information about yourself in the application form, take a selfie or a video, upload a photo of your passport and a recent bank statement, and click submit. Seconds later, you're approved. The card is instantly available on your phone to use and start earning rewards or getting you access to restaurants and great travel experiences. This is the kind of experience you'll be working towards as part of our team – delivering on part of the application/onboarding journey. You'll help reduce the friction for people to apply for a card while ensuring we meet the complex set of regulatory standards in each country to protect against fraud and other criminal activity. Your responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and learning about our users' needs.
  • Translating requirements into coherent user stories using agile tools and methods.
  • Working with engineers on a day-to-day basis to execute requirements during the development process.
  • Driving delivery by troubleshooting issues, demystifying complex needs, and leading planning cycles in partnership with your leader and agile champions.
  • Delivering the product roadmap in collaboration with go-to-market, engineering, and design functions, often coordinating with other delivery teams.
  • Collaborating with local market teams to stay on top of market developments and the competition.
  • Partnering with engineering and design functions throughout the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery and ongoing iteration.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven years of experience in a Product Management role or equivalent.
  • Proven understanding of UX principles and a passion for solving customer problems.
  • Experience in gathering and interpreting qualitative and quantitative product data.
  • Experience defining and writing user stories and acceptance criteria based on customer needs.
  • Proven understanding and/or experience in conducting experiments (A/B tests).
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills. You're able to articulate the reasons behind your work and adapt your communication style according to the needs and knowledge of each stakeholder - from design and engineering to business and marketing.
  • Strong collaboration & relationship skills – we are a relationship-oriented company that values diverse perspectives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment, with competing resources and priorities, through the product life cycle from planning and development through to launch.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Product Design, or a similar field.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Mural, Jira, and Rally.
  • Interest in emerging technologies.

We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being. That means we prioritize their physical, financial, and mental health through each stage of life. Benefits include:

  • Support for financial-well-being and retirement.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability benefits (depending on location).
  • Flexible working model with hybrid, onsite, or virtual arrangements depending on role and business need.
  • Generous paid parental leave policies (depending on your location).
  • Free access to global on-site wellness centers staffed with nurses and doctors (depending on location).
  • Free and confidential counseling support through our Healthy Minds program.
  • Career development and training opportunities.

Offer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
