BRC are working with a Local Authority In Hampshire to recruit an a Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor to join a dedicated team overseeing the reactive maintenance and repairs of council owned properties

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Advise, diagnose and specify maintenance work required to mitigate disrepair challenges including the elimination of damp and mould issues
  2. Assist in carrying out condition surveys on the housing stock, identifying general repairs and disrepairs both internally and externally on tenanted and void properties
  3. Investigate repair requests, diagnosing faults and complaints, commissioning repairs and supervising them through to completion
  4. Evaluate and prepare schedules of work and ensure that contractors are carrying out works to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety requirements
  5. Ensure property record keeping is up to date, utilizing the council s integrated management IT system
  6. Prepare and present reports of professional advice to the responsive maintenance manager
  7. Ensure a high quality of customer service delivery, handling any complaints and act as a point of contact for queries
Job Requirements

  1. Driver with access to own vehicle
  2. Qualified to HNC/HND or equivalent
  3. Previous social housing experience
