We are looking for apprentice Facilities coordinator to oversee all activities inside the building, making sure that health and safety standards are met and arranging for repairs when needed.


This position is working full time on site any 5 out of 7 days (Must be available to work weekends) between the hours of 8 to 6pm.


Responsibilities

  • Analyse and optimise facility costs continuously
  • Stick to facility budget (capex and opex)
  • Place orders for the referring site directly for those being authorised for in compliance with supervisor, if higher authorisation level
  • Manage and organise supplier contracts
  • Continuous analysis of cost saving potentials
  • Monthly budget control of facility areas
  • Preparation and negotiation of new offers and supplier contracts
  • Administrate and supplier overview list including payment terms, costs, duration of contract, alternative suppliers
  • Control of POs applied for with regard to correct completion, cost control and adherence of processes
  • Ensure that all necessary repair and maintenance works are being done
  • Delegate simple tasks to receptionist
  • An awareness of Health and Safety issues
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Being able to work under pressure
  • The ability to solve problems as they arise
  • Ability to fix minor issues in appliances or arranging for repairs when needed

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of MS Office and Excel
  • Good command of the English Language
  • Negotiation Skills (supplier contracts)
  • Basic understanding of financial terms and must have numeracy ability
  • Effective time management
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Ability to multitask
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry (would be advantageous).
