WHAT TO EXPECT


The Business Information Security Officer (BISO) will serve as the primary point of contact between the information security function and key business functions and regional business units.

The BISO will directly report into Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the group.

As a BISO you'll also be group CISO's tactical and operational ambassador to the business segment/business unit/product/region/sector.

As a BISO, you will be responsible to align with LOBs and participate in stakeholder engagement to learn their needs, work with federate security chapters (1LoD) on delivery and most importantly provide CISO and wider enterprise security team with real context to influence strategy decision making at the core (2LoD) and help shape future direction.


THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a good rapport and relationship with JLR Business Units, Regions, and Product stakeholders to support local security chapter initiatives and operations to ensure unity and uniformity with Enterprise Security vision and strategy.
  • Oversees, communicates, and drives technical implementations of solutions required for security for the objectives of the business.
  • Spearhead the regional information and cyber security functions, including process reengineering, modernisation, automation and transition.
  • Manage and maintain governance oversight on security initiatives and projects with LoBs to ensure that enterprise security objectives and KPIs are met.
  • Oversee, support and advise on Information & Cyber security Bill of Design, Capabilities and artifacts, and work closely with LoBs senior stakeholders and cyber chapters on rollout initiatives.
  • Championing JLR's Information and Cyber Security Transformation and support alignment at all levels
  • Strategic, Tactical and Operational in building a robust discipline at inscope LoBs, regions, and other entities.
  • Responsible for driving stronger business alignment as security responsibility becomes more distributed within the JLR enterprise and need for CISO function to be embedded within the LoBs to not bog down agility, product development velocity, and operational efficiency.
  • Engage and allocate resources & support (e.g., security architects, engineers) to achieve target outcomes at in scope entities.
  • Work with Enterprise Security to supplement and continuously monitors trends to anticipate and plan for future impact of information risk on a specific business unit or function.
  • Follow all risk remediation protocols to ensure issues are mitigated, risks are accounted for and exceptions are tracked in accordance with enterprise frameworks and standards.
  • Participating in company/region/unit related meetings and conferences, customerfacing engagement, and industry forums associated as part of the security programme.
  • Work with BUs to align funding requirements with strategic initiatives and local business change (hub and spoke)
  • Participate in information security and businessrelated governance/boards as required.
  • Security advocacy and engagement with stakeholders on related matters in an effort to improve awareness and culture.
  • Assist CISO and wider team in developing an understanding of business goals and reframe risk discussions in business terms.
  • Champion the divisional security requirements and responsible to bring back business objective and requirements with appreciation to help CISO and wider Enterprise Security strategy succeed.
  • Collaborate with LoBs to identify risks, champion risk management and governance issues. Establish risk ownership and assist with treatment plans while aligning with Enterprise security framework and practices
  • Champion and supplement the global security education and culture transformation programme, facilitating JLR security awareness, uplifting stakeholder literacy and awareness on the importance of information security control frameworks and principles locally to be suitable for the business.
  • Developing and maintaining an indepth understanding of the business unit, technologies, customers, partners, alliances, systems, processes, consumers, data, and customers.
  • Produces regular KPIs and reporting on infosec status across the region/functional area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with incident management teams to help drive resolutions for incidents and support investigations.
