WHAT TO EXPECT


The Design Vehicle Visualisation department is a highly creative and multi-faceted team that provides a high level of visual output including; animations, stills, live, virtual presentation material using industry recognised software and processes.

These creative outputs are used to support Design in achieving key gateways, Design Forums and various other high level Design reviews throughout the wider business.


This role is to join our growing Unreal arm of the department; working as a team to deliver the high-quality dynamic reviews, animations and images for all four of our Modern Luxury Brands, whilst also looking at future plans/toolsets to both improve quality and efficiencies.


WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • The ability to create 3D visual stimulus for customers in Design, to the highest levels of visual quality.
  • Working within a team, have the ability to work in a transparent and professional manner, supporting all design disciplines, whilst maintaining a flexible, proactive approach.
  • Identify potential process or system improvements where applicable.
  • Attend Design Studio programme start up meetings for current programme awareness and involvement and relay this information back to the Design Vehicle Visualisation Manager and the relevant subteams within DVA.
  • Achieve one's SPR objectives.
  • Interact with key disciplines to achieve the required deliverable
  • Manage supporting Programme Trackers and BOMs, updating documentation as required
  • Coaching of other team members and the wider design studio in best practice visualisation utilising the tools available in JLR
  • To be selfinitiated daily whilst responding to the requirements of the Vehicle Visualisation Managers, Designers, Design Managers and Design Directors.
  • Actively seek cost reductions and constantly monitor expenditure.
  • Comply with company policy and procedures, particularly with Design Studio and data security.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:

  • Strong level of experience in the creation of Visual Stimulus
  • Unreal engine
  • Strong level of experience using relevant Design software (Unreal, Autodesk Maya/3DS Max, VRED, Vray, Adobe creation suite)
  • Understanding of CG Render pipelines
  • Strong understanding of Digital Material Creation and Translation processes
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong IT / Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong Leadership skills
