About The Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly team at Poole PET-CT Centre which is located within Poole Hospital.
Poole PET-CT Centre is only a short distance from Poole Town Centre which has very good bus and train links.
Experience within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.The role will involve being in a front of house position, meeting and greeting patients and answering queries that come into the unit from both referring teams and patients.
Appropriate training will be given for the role along with support from other administration staff within the unit.- Good IT experience e.g Microsoft
- Good communication skills and team working experience
- Show awareness of confidentiality being in a healthcare setting
- Ability to stay calm in a challenging situation
Skills And Experiences:
The role is a full time position covering 40 hours per week split across 4 days to provide support during clinical sessions.
As the role requires you to work with patients, to be successful you must have accomplished written and verbal communication skills together with a good standard of IT literacy.
Excellent time management is essential in order to prioritise your workload and ensure a high standard of patient care at all times.
Skills:
- Patient care experience/skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills including time management
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- Ability to be innovative and forward thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving
- Strong on attention to detail
Experience:
- Must be IT literate
- Able to work well under pressure both independently and as part of a team
- Willing to support with both clinical and administrative duties
