An exciting opportunity has arisen within Corporate Nursing Services for a team administrator to join our Safeguarding and Looked after Children administrative team.
This post will be based between Sandwell Children's Trust Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Sandwell Council House and Sandwell General Hospital.
The post is 37.5 HPW with a working pattern of Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to support the specialist nurses based in MASH to gather and disseminate information in relation to safeguarding children when referrals of concern/significant harm have been received.
The successful applicant will work closely with the existing MASH administrator to ensure that information is available to the nurses to assist in their risk assessment of both children at risk and at times supporting the domestic abuse service in MASH So that Cross cover can be achieved it will be necessary to assist the Safeguarding and Looked after Children team in their continued work to ensure that the management of the child protection and looked after children processes run smoothly.
This interesting and varied role will provide clerical and administrative support including minute taking, maintenance of databases and support to a busy and friendly team.
We would welcome applicants who do not hold the Level 3 Business Administrator qualification as this could be offered during employment.
We are looking for an experienced administrator with excellent communication (both oral and written) and organisational skills that has the ability to work on their own initiative and as a part of a team.
The role requires a working knowledge of Microsoft office packages, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word, and electronic patient record systems.
Provide administrative support to the Associate Named Nurses and Service provided for safeguarding children in Sandwell Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)To support the Safeguarding Children Service based in MASH in developing and maintaining systems for the recording of information in relation to safeguarding children at risk of abuse and harm, processes within MASH and production of reports and data/statistics
Organise/prioritise own time to complete tasks within specified timescales.
Be proficient in entering information onto SystmOne and other electronic collections for subsequent analysis, reference and presentation under the guidance of the Named, Associate and Lead Nurse within the Safeguarding Children Department.
