About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Fostering Support Worker to join our team at St Christopher's Fellowship. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with supervising social workers, local authorities, and other professionals to provide support to foster placements.

The role involves:

  • Developing and implementing individualized plans to meet the unique needs of looked-after children
  • Leading support groups for looked-after children and birth children
  • Providing support sessions during the day, evenings, or weekends
  • Transporting young people to activities and appointments, and supervising family contact sessions

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and young people in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • Administrative experience, including data entry and report writing
  • Ability to work with challenging behavior and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to maintain personal and professional boundaries
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills, with the ability to build and sustain professional relationships
