Forensic Case Administrator (Interpretation Admin & Archive) to join our small, friendly Forensic Administration team based in Abingdon. You will provide general administrative duties and aid in facilitating the retrieval and return of case files in and out of the Archive.


Full in person training will be provided (so previous office experience isn't a necessity), with expectations clearly set and regularly reviewed.

There are also progression opportunities within the Admin role, which offer the chance to develop skills, which also come with salary increases.

Duties you will be trained to cover will include:

  • monitoring and actioning mailbox requests and answering internal/external telephone calls, using in-house systems to resolve enquiries.
  • Preparing casefiles and paperwork for archiving, paginating or page counting files depending on case type.
  • Inputting and checking data logged onto the inhouse system against the original paperwork, completing a second check for errors and anomalies.
The team are situated in an air conditioned open office. There will also be training to assist in the Archive tasks, which can involve heavy lifting and manual handling. Safety shoes are provided for when lifting or moving boxes. The role involves exposure to crime scene photos, potentially of a sensitive/disturbing nature, which could include port-mortem photographs.

The full-time hours for this position are 37.

5 hours per week:


08:30-17:00. We are a living wage employer.


Whilst job experience isn't necessary if you are computer literate and have general administration skills this could be the job for you.

Experience of spreadsheet and database packages e.g. Word and Excel is preferred.

You will be flexible and able to work on own initiative with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

At times the role is fast paced and once trained you will assist in prioritising and working as a team to complete tasks.

You will also be required to have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms.
