Main Responsibilities

  • Become the focal point for the Subsea Robotics offshore team and assist with technical / fault finding issues.

  • Provide technical input to plan and schedule safe and efficient system mobilisations.

  • Support with offshore installation of ROV systems and preparation of work scope and procedures for system mobilisation / de mobilisation.

  • Assist with project related equipment selection, suitability and interface requirements.

  • Lead audits of Rovco ROV systems prior to mobilisation to ensure conformance with internal and external standards and project requirements.

  • Support the offshore crew and workshop personnel with ROV maintenance and repair tasks include task prioritisation and scheduling, this will include site visits.

  • Liaise with all project stakeholders involved in the project execution and operation of Subsea Robotic systems.

  • Work in conjunction with the Subsea Robotics offshore teams to maintain and coordinate system certification packages.

  • Procurement of consumable and spare parts when required.

  • Monitor asset tracking.

  • Participate in regular project progress review and internal and external design review meetings.

  • Liaise with vendors and sub-contractors involved in the certification and servicing of Rovco assets.

  • Managing short and long-term storage of equipment.

  • Undertake any other office duties as the company may reasonably require.

You should apply if you have:

Essential:

  • Background in Electrical, Mechanical or Hydraulic systems

  • Strong Technical ROV experience

  • Good practical and theoretical knowledge and experience of electrical and electronic systems

  • In depth knowledge and experience of a wide variety of Subsea Survey and Inspection equipment

  • History of fault finding and bringing forward ideas to promote technical discussions / improvements, passing on knowledge and mentoring teams.

  • Willing and able to take responsibilities to meet project demands

  • Good problem-solving skills and practical thinking

  • Good people management skills

  • Good level of IT literacy (Microsoft office)

  • Ability to drive a project forward operationally and suggest areas where efficiencies can be found

  • Ability to generate final project documentation

Desirable:

  • Experience in Asset Management

  • Experience of training and coaching more team members

  • Experience of working from both large construction / survey vessels and small craft

  • Experience in both work class and inspection class ROVs & AUVs

  • Subcontractor management
