Are you passionate about supporting the recovery of patients through Occupational Performance following a stroke? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 5 or established band 6 Occupational Therapist to join SWBH Stroke and Neurology Team.

As a Trust we ensure that both your professional and academic needs, as well as you personal development and wellbeing are prioritised. We achieve this through a structured supervision programme, access to both local and external training opportunities and regular team trainings. As a service, we aspire to become more involved in new research opportunities, and as such we are also keen to support individuals with an interest research.

This is an opportunity to strengthen and diversify the team, as such we are keen to interview individuals with an interest in specific areas of OT such as cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation and research.

As a band 6, you will have the opportunity to rotate across the Stroke and Neurology service, working on the acute and rehabilitation wards and with the community stroke service.

Main duties of the job As part of this role you will be be required to utilise your core OT skills to complete assessments and deliver treatment plans to inform and develop individual rehabilitation goals for our cohort of patients.

You will use your knowledge and experience of rehabilitation to both deliver care for our patients and support the learning and development of more junior staff.

Alongside this, effective leadership skills will be required to direct others as needed and deputise for the band 7 OT lead in their absence.

In return, we can offer you access to structured clinical supervision with our most experienced team members to ensure both your clinical development needs and leadership aspirations are a focus.
