We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our thriving therapy team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation support to patients who have been diagnosed with a stroke or neurological condition.
Key Responsibilities- Provide rehabilitation support to patients in an acute hospital setting, working under the supervision of qualified physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and practitioner staff.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize patient recovery, including exercise programs, functional task practice, and equipment orders.
- Work closely with nursing support workers to ensure seamless integration of therapy and nursing needs, promoting patient recovery and independence.
- Contribute to a supportive and innovative team environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
- Understanding of stroke and/or neurological conditions and their impact on patients.
- Experience of working in an acute healthcare setting, preferably in a rehabilitation role.
- NVQ Level 3 Healthcare or equivalent experience, with a willingness to undertake further training if required.
