The Post:


The People, Solutions and Experience are a team within the Human Resources and Workforce Development Department, and we aim to provide an excellent service in all aspects of employment, from prior to commencement of employment and throughout the employment lifecycle of all staff.

This includes providing a wide range of professional services such as recruitment, terms and conditions of service and policy, advice and guidance.

We currently have 2 Fixed term / Secondment opportunities within our Recruitment team, some duties of the role include:

  • Posting adverts to HR Job Train system
  • Ensuring all preemployment checks are completed in line with policy
  • Issuing conditional offers and employment contracts
  • Various other adhoc Recruitment administration duties as required


A good understanding of HR practices and a professional, confident and flexible approach is essential to balance the needs of the customers with the requirement to adhere to policy and process.

Experience in dealing with the end-to-end recruitment process is desirable.

Location and Working pattern:

Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow - homeworking or hybrid working

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week


It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
