The Head of Group HR is responsible for leading all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and organisational development to support the organisation's global growth and development.

This role involves working closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with Care for Children's three-year strategic plan and organisational goals.

Strategic HR Planning

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with Care for Children's strategic plan.

Ensure HR practices support organisational growth and development.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
Lead the recruitment process for new hires across various departments and levels.
Performance Management
Design and implement performance management systems.
Set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and evaluate employee performance against established goals.
Employee Relations
Serve as a trusted advisor on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
Address employee relations issues and support a positive work environment.
Training and Development
Identify training and development needs within the organisation.
Coordinate the delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
HR Policies and Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
Champion a culture of collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Succession Planning
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key talent and develop succession plans.
HR Metrics and Reporting
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track HR performance.
Key deliverables and performance indicators

Effective implementation of HR strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Successful recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
High-performing employees supported by robust performance management systems.
Positive employee relations and a healthy work environment.
Comprehensive training and development programs.
Compliance with HR policies, laws, and regulations.
Effective succession planning and leadership continuity.
Accurate HR metrics and insightful reporting to senior leadership.

The ability of the Head of Group HR to effectively manage HR functions and execute HR strategies directly impacts the organisation's ability to achieve its strategic goals and maintain a high-performing team.

This contributes to the overall success and credibility of Care for Children as a leading organisation in delivering sustainable programs and supporting global growth and development.

Establish and maintain HR standards for accuracy, productivity, and reliability.
Manage daily HR functions and support business operations.
Prepare annual performance reviews and reevaluate HR processes.
Ensure regulatory, compliance, and legal rules are followed.
Manage the HR budget to align with organisational goals.

Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources management.
Strong knowledge of UK HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. International HR experience is an advantage.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate organisational goals into actionable HR initiatives.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex HR issues.
