As a pivotal figure, you will oversee the Domestic Services Department, managing a dedicated team of over 200 professionals, ensuring operational excellence through your organized and proactive approach.
Your primary responsibilities will include the comprehensive management of Supervisors and Domestic Staff, guaranteeing technical proficiency and full engagement in their roles. You will be the guardian of our patients' environment, consistently delivering a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere while actively minimizing the risk of healthcare-associated infections by enforcing robust infection control protocols.
Reporting to the Operational Manager, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team of service managers and team supervisors. Your focus will be on nurturing the domestic operations team, overseeing recruitment, training, and administration to uphold OCS's high standards and operational requirements.
A key contributor to the implementation of the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021, you will liaise closely with the Trusts Senior Management Team, Infection Prevention Control, and supervisory staff. This role demands a synergistic approach with other service stream managers to thrive in a dynamic and adaptive environment.
The position offers a full-time, permanent contract with a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, including occasional weekends.
Reporting & Administration experience Previous Experience working in a complex healthcare settings and familiarity with either 2007 or the new 2021 Cleaning standards
Soft FM trade speciality in domestic cleaning within healthcare.
