This role in the Nuclear Security division supports AWE's NTR efforts, focusing on analyzing nuclear and radiological hazards through a new modelling capability.
Your tasks will involve:- Verification and Validation of physics models.
- Comparing capabilities with experimental data.
- Independent research to enhance analysis.
- Planning and executing technical assessments.
- Documenting technical findings and providing training.
Applicants should ideally showcase:
Essential:- Degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in numerical methods for modeling.
Must possess the ability to systematically approach complex tasks.
Excellent communication skills:Capable of presenting findings to diverse audiences.
Desired qualifications include postgraduate degrees, scripting skills, HPC platform experience, and specialization in various STEM areas.
Candidates must be willing to obtain and maintain security clearance.
