£10.42 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays
About the Trust
Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a major acute trust serving the people of Wigan and Leigh.
Innovative and forward thinking, the trust is dedicated to providing the best possible healthcare for the local population in the Wigan Borough and surrounding areas.
This is a Temporary Role.What you'll be responsible for:
- Enter data into the computer database to record and track medical device maintenance and use; print out information as required.
- Visit clinical areas daily to collect and deliver equipment and to promote good equipment management.
- Work closely with Medical Electronics Engineering Technicians to ensure all repairs and maintenance for Loan Store devices and other equipment are carried out.
- Ensure all devices are stored safely and appropriately along with the correct accessories and ensure the department is clean, tidy and well maintained and left in a secure condition at the end of the shift.
- Help wards and departments to enable them to manage equipment safely and effectively, particularly in respect of storage arrangements.
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- Physically fit and able to lift
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Experience in a similar role
- Previous NHS experience
