Job description


Do you have experience of project management and the public health sector? Do you want to use this experience to support the development of a new funding strategy for one of the leading children's hospitals? If so, then we have a fantastic opportunity for you.


This is an exciting and varied role, that will have a huge impact on the Patient and Family Experience funding stream at GOSH Charity, and the way that patients and their families experience care at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

The Programme Officer will support the project management, and be responsible for conducting a landscape review and consultation workshops with patients and families that will feed into the development of a new Patient and Family Experience strategy.

This will involve working closely with all members of the Charity and hospital teams, high-level committees and external stakeholders. This is a fixed term role for 12-months.

About the Team

This exciting new role sits within the Impact and Charitable Programmes Department.

The team are responsible for:

ensuring charitable funding supports the highest quality projects; for monitoring and evaluating funded projects; and providing support to fundraising teams with information on the projects the charity funds.

About You


You will have experience leading on the planning and delivery of projects within a research management, public health, academic, or funding sector.

You will have knowledge of the UK health charity sector and a degree in a relevant scientific discipline, or relevant work experience.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish good working relationships.

Our approach to hybrid working


This role is based in our Central London office (WC1N, opposite Russell Square underground) with a minimum of 2 days working in the offices and the option to work remotely up to three days a week.
