About the role


You will join our Schools Programme team, led by our Senior Programme Manager and working alongside our other Programme Officers.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage the experience of several schools throughout their time with us.

This involves building strong relationships with teachers, allocating tutors to tuition programmes, onboarding and ensuring the effective delivery of our programmes to our pupils, and taking care of associated programme administration.


Key responsibilities
The core Programme Officer role requires the following for each school programme:

  • Holding a kick-off meeting with teachers from partner schools
  • Ensuring that large cohorts of students are successfully onboarded to their programmes using the systems in place, and providing ongoing support and troubleshooting
  • Building relationships with teachers and tutors, including providing ongoing support throughout the programme
  • Supporting and coordinating tutors
  • Troubleshooting parent/student tech issues
  • Ensuring the smooth running of programmes and problemsolving any issues that arise, including regularly reporting on attendance and session quality to your respective schools
  • Highlighting areas for improvement to our Teaching, Learning & Quality Lead to ensure we are delivering highquality, impactful tuition
In addition to your responsibilities relating to your programmes, each Programme Officer also holds several wider team responsibilities.

These will be assigned in discussion with you, taking into consideration your interests and experience, and are likely to include:

  • Tutor recruitment marketing (such as researching and reaching out to organisations who may be able to support Talent-Ed with reaching more teachers who may be interested in the tutor role)
  • Tutor onboarding (including processing DBS checks and ensuring all necessary safeguarding documentation has been collated before a tutor is allocated to a Talent-Ed programme)
  • Working with our Operations Team to ensure that online systems such as our virtual learning environment and tutor resource area are efficient and effective, and are updated regularly. (Including the Talent-Ed virtual learning portal, the Tutor Resource Area, Zoom and the Talent-Ed website).
  • Support with central team recruitment
  • Support for additional special projects across the organisation as required (e.g. Support with central team recruitment and Salesforce upgrades)

You will be comfortable both working independently and collaborating closely with teammates, to tight deadlines. You will identify strongly with the mission of Talent-Ed.
