I am seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to drive business growth within a professional services firm experiencing significant growth. The ideal candidate will be skilled in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and forging strategic partnerships.

This role is perfect for individuals with a background in legal, professional services, or regulated industries who are eager to tackle strategic challenges and contribute to the firm's success.

Day-to-day of the role as a key account manager:

  • Develop and implement a marketing and business development strategy targeting both existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the needs and structures of prospective clients.
  • Plan and execute projects, ensuring successful delivery in line with agreed schedules, quality, and budget.
  • Represent the firm professionally and manage associated activities effectively.
  • Create compelling credentials and pitches, advising partners on strategy for bids and tenders.
  • Identify and exploit opportunities to win work for the firm.
  • Administer the creation of sector-specific content, campaigns, events, and other profile-raising activities.
  • Organise and attend marketing events, recording their uptake and success rate.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the key account manager:

  • Previous experience in a legal, accountancy, management consultancy, property/construction, financial services firm, or other regulated industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and developing effective strategies within a consultative sales role.
  • Experience working with senior management to understand objectives and negotiate consensus.
  • Proficiency in digital tools for targeted and wider audience outreach.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
