Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a multibillion-pound, global organisation, who are currently recruiting a Quality & Continuous Improvement Lead for one of their manufacturing sites in Aldridge.

This role will be responsible for Leading the Quality & Continuous Improvement Function for the plant, supporting the Management Team in achieving business and financial goals by developing, improving and maintaining robust manufacturing and transactional processesand deploying the Quality Strategy & linked objectives for the products produced or distributed by Aldridge.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure short and reactive quality loop with Customers and promptly escalate critical issues to ensure their fast & effective resolution, in connection with all relevant plant support functions
  • Propose improvements based on Customer feedback (e.g. Customer Complaints, Warranty Rates, Surveys, audits, ) to improve Customer Satisfaction & linked Quality Key metrics
  • Measure & manage suppliers quality perf. & improvements (Internal & External) by ensuring regular reviews with all key plant supportive functions and in conjunction with Supplier Quality function
  • Contribute to development of a Quality Management System for the site
  • Manage all required 3rd party, internal and customer audits & assessments to detect gaps, address them through corrective and preventive actions addressing mid & long term Mgt System improvements
  • Responsible for deploying Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and techniques across all business areas through delivery of Kaizens/RIEs, training, coaching and mentoring to eliminate waste and deliver product to customer's expectations
  • Increase efficiency and effectiveness of endtoend processes, with a specific focus on transactional processes
  • Lead the business Cost-Saving programme and manage the Cost-Out deck for Aldridge to deliver the annual Cost-Out objective with responsibility to personally deliver tangible savings to improve profitability
  • Lead events focused on Cost-Out such as Integrated Deck Building, Value Stream Mapping, individual projects, Value Analysis and Waste Walks and promote a culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Lead monthly pulse meetings with the Division Lean/ CI Manager

  • Background in engineering or technical discipline
  • Knowledge and experience in Customer Quality, Product & Process Quality, Systems Quality
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, e.g. ISO9001/1400
  • Knowledge of international/ Customer product specifications/ requirements (ATEX)
  • Experience in leadership of rapid improvement events e.g. Kaizen & 5S
  • Understanding manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
