Head of QA | Remote | Up to £65,000

Pearson Carter are working with high level software company that empower and protects. They developthe most comprehensive suite of situational awareness tools available anywhere on both desktop PCs and mobile platforms. Designed for planning, execution and after action review, Airbox software is trusted by law enforcement, military, special forces, search & rescue, fire and medical emergency services.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of the QA function.
  • Managing and mentoring QA team members.
  • Measuring and monitoring performance of the QA function.
  • Set the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
  • Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
  • Create a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and ensures diverse representation

Experience:

  • All of our colleagues have to pass an NPPV3 clearance; you can find out more about it here but a key feature is having the last 3 years living in the United Kingdom
  • ISTQB qualified – minimum foundation level
  • Previous experience as a QA Engineer, both with manual and automation experience
  • Previous experience as a QA Manager/Head of QA – managing a QA function within a SaaS company.
  • Experience testing multi-platform software and servers: Mobile/tablet Android, iOS, Web, PC with consideration of the convention of each platform
  • Experience with test automation tools.
  • Experience with API testing, familiar with tools such as Postman, K6 or Selenium Web Driver
  • Strong understanding of the testing position within Scrum ( )
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

Salary + Benefits:

They offer an excellent salary up to £65,000 and includes an excellent benefit package.

Location:

The majority of the team working remotely so that is what they are offering but they do have an office in Oxford.
