The Development Officer reports to the Senior Development Manager and plays a key role in supporting the Audience & Business Growth department by managing administrative tasks related to Patrons and Corporate Sponsors.

Responsibilities include devising a year-round Patrons' Events Programme, handling fundraising activities, renewals, prospect meetings, diary management, and maintaining communication with supporters through newsletters and event invitations.

The ideal candidate should have experience in stewardship, partnership building, identifying income growth opportunities, and reporting on successful donation schemes. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

As a Development Officer, you will engage with donors, shape entertaining and educational schemes to retain their support, and contribute to the ICA's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative tasks related to Patrons and Corporate Sponsors, including fundraising diaries.
  • Organize logistics for the year-round Patrons' events programme.
  • Conduct prospect research for new income sources.
  • Draft proposals and reports for donors.
  • Oversee the effective administration of the ICA's Gift Aid scheme.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in fundraising, event management, and administrative support.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in database management and financial reporting.
