This Role

You will be responsible for the refinement and weekly execution of a highly engaging and effective training program, designed to train, motivate and prepare our field sales teams for success in their sales roles.

You will be responsible for the training and continual improvement of a field force of 150+ salespeople, 20+ Territory Managers and 2 Regional Managers.

The roles already exist so the job is to upskill existing roles and manage weekly churn/expansion intake of circa 20 people a week.

You will be tasked with upgrading the existing training module and then continually improving and adapting this to refine, with client approval.

This role will be a hybrid between head office and field, with the expectation of conducting training in client's office once per week [Monday & Tuesday].

Broad Objectives
1To develop, continually refine and deliver best-in-class bespoke weekly training programs to meet business and client needs
2To effectively and continually upskill our field and sales teams in trade both en mass, in person, and in dedicated sub-groups as decided by you
Specific Responsibilities
Training Programme

  • Managing a weekly 5 day onboarding program for new starters in the field, from virtual sessions to F2F sessions, to assessing training group in field
  • Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness and success of training programs
  • Implementing the latest training trends, developments and best practices – ensuring we are always at the vanguard of training excellence
New Starter Onboarding

  • Working closely with the Recruitment Manager and Account Team, overseeing onboarding needs for any new starters prior training
  • Ensuring all new starters have a clear pathway to reach set targets during onboarding period, supporting their line managers with any required development plans and additional training needs
  • Managing team to onboard candidates from approval of application to training, ensuring completion of Ted portal, with Right To Work, and Payment Details included on profile for approval.
Continuous Development

  • Creation of performance improvement plans for Territory Managers and Regional Managers in field governance and documentation of any required development areas
  • Upskilling Territory Managers and Regional Managers in field to effectively manage their sales team, ensuring required planning and scheduling is completed
  • Liaise with Client Director and Recruitment Manager to review and feedback on candidates to ensure that quality, effectiveness and retention are always increasing
Content Creation

  • Curating and developing training materials and programmes to address specific business and client needs
  • Development of sales techniques and methodology for client products
  • Identifying and implementing a range of sales and training techniques
  • Using agency Tech Platform to communicate any urgent developments or issues with the field teams
  • Provide meaningful reporting and analysis of performance
Candidate Requirement & Skillsets

You will have 5 years minimum experience training field sales teams and have proven experience in conducting a range of training programs for large-scale field sales campaigns.

A detailed understanding of the staffing and or field marketing sector is key.

You will have a passion for the industry and be able to clearly demonstrate your proven ability to deliver engaging training materials to high standards.

You will be a high-energy 'people person' and a 'detail-orientated' individual.

A brilliant and clear communicator, you'll thrive on naturally forging relationships with team members and have a confident and energetic presence.

You will love using the agency Technology Platform to solve problems, meet challenges and streamline processes. You will become a natural advocate and trainer of the tech platform.
Specific Experience

  • Highly presentable and ability to personally convey our brand attributes – professional, knowledgeable, confident, honest, and trustworthy
  • Experience developing and implementing training program, with knowledge of various training methods including coaching, workshops, classroom training, mentoring and e-learning programs
  • Strong social capabilities played out in building relationships with internal employees and senior stakeholders
  • A lover of using technology in the field and an aptitude for system processes, development, and compliance management of online databases
  • Good to advanced use of Microsoft Excel, and strong initiative for self-learning as reporting requirements develop over time
  • Fluency in Microsoft PowerPoint for building client-facing presentation decks, as well as training materials for wider external teams
  • High level of spoken and written English, and eye for detail in producing both internal and external copy. Native English speaker preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous personal admin
  • Highly motivated and disciplined individual able to work on their own initiative and 'make things happen' through a determined resolute approach
