We're recruiting for the role of Head of Data Strategy, Design and Control within a governmental financial services organization. This position is instrumental in driving ongoing data-driven transformation and involves leading the Data Services Team, shaping strategic direction, and executing the data strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for data-related matters and collaborate closely with business partners.
  • Supervise key areas such as data strategy, governance, knowledge management, quality assurance, and architecture.
  • Lead the implementation of the organization's data strategy.
  • Establish a robust framework for data, including policy development and best practice guidelines.
  • Lead the development and execution of various data components, including reference and master data, data modelling and architecture, data quality, metadata, standardization of data, data linking, data sharing, and knowledge and information management.
  • Promote the importance of data design, quality assurance, and control across the organization.
  • Ensure that data meets user requirements, complies with relevant laws, follows best practices and standards, and is effectively measured.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in all aspects of enterprise data management, including Data Governance, Quality, Modelling, Security, and Knowledge Management.
  • Experience in enhancing data quality and facilitating interoperability within organizations.
  • Ability to establish a comprehensive data life cycle and drive data utilization for business objectives.
  • Track record of external collaboration to influence data flow across sectors.
  • Understanding of evolving data landscape, technology, and trends.
  • Visionary problem-solving skills to define effective data management strategies.
  • Leadership in overseeing data architecture strategy and standards implementation.
  • Accountability for implementing and evolving data strategy.
  • Line management experience and leadership in team development.
  • Proactive approach to skills development and collaboration with external stakeholders
