Inverness, Highland, United Kingdom NHS Highland Full time
NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination.

The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best.

To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Nurse position in the Highlands.

The successful post holder will be based in Inverness, however this does not exclude the possibility of travelling elsewhere in the Highlands as per service and client requirements.

The post holder is responsible for delivering the Family Nurse Partnership licensed (FNP) intensive home visiting programme to eligible pregnant young women.

The post holder is required to be the lead in developing therapeutic relationships with clients and work intensively within complex family situations from early pregnancy until the child reaches 2 years when the programme is completed, whilst also ensuring fidelity to the programme's licensing requirements.

As part of the licensing requirements the FNP Team is also supported by a Clinical Psychologist, Data Manager and Administrator.

All family nurses are required to undertake further mandatory training, some of which is residential, spanning over approximately 18 months.

Alongside the mandatory training, there is now an opportunity to undertake a Masters level professional diploma in Family Nursing
