Inverness, Highland, United Kingdom NHS Highland Full time
About the Role

NHS Highland is committed to providing high-quality care to children and their families. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Complex Care Team.

The successful candidate will work closely with children and their families, providing support and care in the home environment and wider community. This is a rewarding role that enables children to access education and allows parents to have a restful sleep, knowing their child is being cared for to a high standard.

The post holder will accompany children and/or families during school/nursery, hospital appointments/admissions, outings, and respite. They will also support training of the complex care team and families, and assist the Senior.

Newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply, and community care/hospice care experience is desirable. The post holder will be supported by the Senior and provided with training and familiarisation of the competency framework.

The post holder will assist in implementing guidelines and protocols, and be expected to be flexible and work a variety of day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. Shift patterns and times are driven by the requirements and needs of the children within the service.

While this is a NHSH-wide position, the post holder will be based in Inverness, with an expectation of travel to support the service. Access and use of own car is essential.
