The opportunity
We' re looking for an experienced corporate communications professional to join our team. The newly formed Communications Team will be a Centre for excellence, covering media relations and corporate PR as well as internal communications, across multiple businesses.
Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build the right plan for each part of our growing business.
What you'll get up to
You'll be accountable for developing and executing external communication strategies to protect and enhance our businesses reputation, promote the IAG Loyalty brand and engage with key stakeholders. Lead the charge on the development and implementation of external communication plans aligned with our strategy. You'll know the right proof points, channels, and tactics to reach different target audiences and enhance our reputation and brand positioning. Build and maintain strong relationships with the right media partners to generate positive media coverage and manage our public image. You'll pitch stories, create press releases and thought leadership pieces that get our company brand on the map. Work closely with Group PR and Corporate Comms professionals and be totally aligned with the work of our Employer Brand experts, Marketing and Commercial teams. Build strong and trusted relationships. Working closely with our senior teams; you will support with speech writing, media training and preparing them for external interviews and communication opportunities that grow their visibility and credibility in the industry. You'll own our external crisis communication plans and will be experienced in the right response to manage reputational risk.What we need from you
We are looking for relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations or related roles. You will be a strategic thinker, a problem-solver and have the ability to develop and execute creative communications plans that drive results. You will be excellent at writing, editing and have unique storytelling abilities, with keen attention to detail. Your verbal and written communication will be strong, you use the right tone of voice to share your ideas and data and insights to back up your thinking. You will have proven media relations experience and a track record in multiple businesses of securing positive media coverage and managing media enquiries effectively. A demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, with internal and external stakeholders at every level is a must. Crisis communication experience is desirable. Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms. The ability to manage multiple priorities across more than one business in a fast-paced and exciting environment spanning retail, loyalty and travel. You'll bring passion for your specialism, energy and fearlessness to innovate and reimagine. You'll relish playing your part within our talented People Team where you'll contribute with your expertise. We have a focus on agility at IAG Loyalty, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do. Experience of working in sprints and deploying practices such as design thinking is desirable but can be taught.
