Education & professional Qualifications:

Essential criteria:

  • Eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society
  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology
  • Health Psychology or Clinical Psychology component to degree, or subsequent qualifications

Desirable criteria:

  • Further post graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, and/or research and design and analysis

Experience:

Essential criteria:

  • An understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with persistent pain
  • Experience using computers and software packages for database or data analysis
  • Experience of research and / or audit and /or project management

Desirable criteria:

  • An understanding of psychology applied to healthcare
  • Experience of working with people with persistent pain, in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • Experience of contributing to psychological assessments
  • Experience of implementing psychological or psychologicallyinformed interventions
  • Experience working in a team with other health professionals e.g. Psychologist, Physiotherapist
