SEND Teaching Assistant Role in Barnet

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding Primary school in Barnet. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special educational needs.

About the Role:
  • As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to children with SEND.
  • You will be responsible for implementing skills and strategies developed in the classroom to support children's learning.
  • You will lead extracurricular sessions or 1:1 sessions with children outside of the classroom to further assist their learning.
  • You will be provided with full safeguarding training and guidance on role expectations before undertaking the role.
About You:
  • A First-Class Degree in Psychology or a related subject is required.
  • Child-Centred Experience is essential.
