Post 16 SEN Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Support Worker to join our team at a SEN college in Brent. As a successful candidate, you will work closely with students who have complex needs and severe to profound multiple learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal and intimate care to students as needed
  • Work with students in and out of class to support their learning and development
  • Set clear boundaries and provide a nurturing relationship
  • Collaborate with other staff members and a multidisciplinary therapy team

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working with young people with ASD
  • Ability to use Makaton or PECs
  • Current enhanced DBS and full compliance to work in the UK

About the Role:

This is a full-time classroom-based role with a September start. The ideal candidate will have a positive role model with mentoring/teaching background and an understanding of Therapeutic Education. If you are passionate about working with SEN pupils and have a genuine desire to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.
