Overview:


First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client a to recruit a Service Desk Operator to join the Facilities Management team in their Birmingham Office, helping to deliver outstanding and efficient customer service to their customers, bothinternal and external.

The Facilities Management team are responsible for the day-to-day operations at the buildings they manage.

Assisted by the Service Desk, the FM Team works closely with colleagues in Health, Safety & Environmental, Sustainability, Procurement, on-site team staffand approved Contractors to deliver a great service.

The Service Desk is responsible for providing a range of support to the company's clients and tenants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with incoming calls for the London Head Office, answering calls and directing queries as appropriate.
  • Assist the FM Team to monitor service delivery to customers.
  • Assist the FM Team to achieve at least 80% resolution of reactive and planned work orders within the agreed SLA timescales.
  • Be aware of Health and Safety responsibilities insofar as they relate to Facilities / Property Services, particularly in the absence of the Facilities Manager and reporting as required.
  • To assist Facilities Managers in the maintenance of the management database and ensure that it accurately reflects the picture of compliance within the company's managed sites.
  • Promote a high level of satisfaction among occupiers and clients by promptly responding to their service requirements. Also ensure prompt response by other team members and selected contractors.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role [essential].
  • Previous experience in a Facilities Management environment [highly desirable].
  • Pleasant and confident telephone manner.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations.
  • Organisational skills with an ability to communicate effectively across a range of customer groups.
